    Privacy and Storage

Where DLWAY keeps your projects and data, what stays on your device, and the specific actions that send anything elsewhere.

    Where projects live

A project is stored either in your browser's own storage or in a folder you open from disk, where DLWΛY keeps a .dlway/project.json manifest alongside your files.

    What stays on your device

Parsing, SQL, data preparation, in-browser training and charting all run locally, in Web Workers and WebAssembly. Datasets you load are not uploaded.

What leaves, and only when you ask

    • Hub imports: searching or downloading from Kaggle or Hugging Face
    • Database connections: queries to a database you connect; saved credentials are encrypted
    • Remote compute: code sent to a Jupyter or Kaggle kernel you attach
    • AI features: the text sent to the AI provider you configure

    Your account

Signing in stores your profile and plan. It does not store your datasets.

See Settings and account for every preference, and Troubleshooting if something does not behave as described.
